Revel in Red

Formed in February 2020, Revel in Red is a premier high-energy rock act based in Central Illinois, built by a collective of seasoned musicians with decades of shared history on regional and national stages. What began as a bold new collaboration quickly evolved into one of the most in-demand live acts in the Midwest—frequently booked a year in advance and trusted as a first-call band for large-scale events.
Despite launching during one of the most challenging periods in live music history, Revel in Red established immediate momentum. The band’s success is rooted in experience, chemistry, and a clear understanding of what audiences—and promoters—expect from a top-tier live performance: consistency, professionalism, and a show that delivers every time.
Drawing from a deep catalog of classic and modern rock, Revel in Red crafts performances that span generations. Their sets seamlessly blend iconic anthems from Journey, REO Speedwagon, Van Halen, and Boston with modern crowd favorites from artists like Bruno Mars, P!nk, Ed Sheeran, Lady Gaga, and more. The result is a dynamic, high-impact show designed to engage large audiences while complementing festival stages and national touring productions.
At the core of Revel in Red is a tight-knit group of musicians whose relationships extend far beyond the stage. Longstanding musical bonds—some spanning decades—create an intuitive performance style marked by precision, energy, and connection. This cohesion translates not only to the music, but to the band’s reputation for being exceptionally easy to work with, integrating smoothly with production teams and adapting efficiently to a wide range of venues and event formats.
In 2025, the band experienced a profound loss with the passing of longtime bassist Pete Ramsey. Pete’s influence on the band and the local music community was immense. Revel in Red honored his legacy by continuing forward with purpose—culminating in a sold-out tribute event at the legendary 3300 Event Center in Peoria, Illinois, drawing one of the largest crowds in the venue’s history. The event benefited Pete’s family and reflected the deep connection between the band, their audience, and the community they serve. Pete’s spirit remains a part of every performance.
Following this chapter, Damien Crow Dickerson joined Revel in Red on bass, bringing both musical depth and renewed momentum to the band’s live performances. Damien’s addition reinforces the band’s commitment to excellence, ensuring continuity while pushing the show forward with confidence and precision.
